Hi, the AC connector on the laptop has gone- cant bother get/install new socket. Want to solder connect the power/transformer cable directly to the sockets wires.(' DC in cable' in manual ) There are 5 wires internally (2 red 2 black, 1 blue) going to the socket but only two, no ground coming in. I could pair the reds and the blacks but what do I do with the blue ? The pin in the center of the socket is + and the outer ring is -. Its an old Thinkpad but their forum seems to be dead/defunct. Please see photo- thanks. No photo - "There was a problem uploading your file " Please Help. Thanks! for more you can check: References: www.techrepublic.com/forums/Corporate Advertising
